The IGC was established in 1956 [this was the 54th AGM] and a record 48 members attended, representing 52 member countries. The IGC is more than double the size of their closest competitor and, at this stage, collectively spend in excess of US$600M in China alone.
There is no other group that can co-ordinate global promotions and marketing campaigns as effectively as IGC and they have several global projects running with companies such as Glaxo Smithkline (GSK), Caterpillar, Thompson Reuters, RIM (Blackberry) and Bayer [to name just a few].
These projects involve setting up of ‘web shops’ displaying core products that are purchased collectively from factories and are warehoused and distributed regionally, thereby, providing their respective clients continuity of design and quality as well as the best value for their money.
These projects also free up the key personnel within each company to get on with their actual jobs instead of constantly having to source products and screen suppliers. |
